  • Debbie Saunders (DSaunders@bossardlibrary.org), Library Director/Fiscal Officer (Ext. 235)  

Debbie has been the Director of Bossard Library since January 2008 and has been employed with Bossard Library since March of 1991. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Rio Grande and a Masters in Library and Information Science from Kent State University.  In 2017, Mrs. Saunders was named the Ohio Library Council's Librarian of the Year. She currently is a member of Governor DeWine's Executive Workforce Board.  Mrs. Saunders is a appointee of Governor DeWine to the Rio Grande Community College Board of Trustees.  She also serves on the Holzer Heritage Foundation Board, as well as the Southeast Ohio Regional Library System (SERLS) Board.  She is member of the American Library Association.  Mrs. Saunders serves as Secretary of the Gallipolis Rotary Club.  In addition, she serves as a member of the Ohio Library Council's Legislative Network.  Mrs. Saunders is a member of the Board of the Gallia County Chamber of Commerce.  Lastly, she is the chair of the local Living History Nights committee.
