Please join Bossard Library and Gallia-Vinton Educational Service Center for our Willy Wonka Summer Reading Kickoff and Treasure Your Family Event on Saturday, June 3 from 11:30 AM -- 2:30 PM.

Register when you arrive and children (ages 0-18) will receive a chocolate candy bar with the possibility of finding a Golden Ticket inside (while supplies last). Two Golden Ticket winners will receive Willy Wonka prize baskets.

Entertainment will include balloon animals with Mark Wood, a juggler extraordinaire, and Wolfe Mountain Entertainment's performance of a brief Willy Wonka show at 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, and 2:00 PM.

Flex your inventing skills at the Gobstopper Invention station, create a Willy Wonka Picture Frame at the craft station (while supplies last), and try Willy Wonka Bingo and other games at the game stations.

Have your face painted and/or a caricature portrait done and then take a selfie with Grandpa.

Drop in at Wonka's Candy Station for a small bag of treats (while supplies last) and then treat yourself to a hot dog, Kona Ice, and a stop at the chocolate fountain (while supplies last). Hot dog, Kona Ice, and the chocolate fountain require tickets distributed at registration.

For those who dress as their favorite Willy Wonka character or in their favorite Willy Wonka attire, stop by the Wonka Costume station to receive a small prize (while supplies last).

If you and/or your family participates in Treasure Your Family, have students enrolled in Summer Advantage programs, or are Bossard Library Summer Reading participants who reside in Gallia County, make sure to use your voucher ticket to visit Wonka's Wardrobe. Summer clothing (children and young adults), baby diapers, and feminine hygiene products will be given away while supplies last. Provided by Gallia County Job and Family Services.

Treasure Your Family participants, make sure to stop by the Treasure Your Family Station to check on the Golden Egg contest and the Trivia contest.

Families may visit any station in any order. At certain stations, get your map stamped and, once you have visited all that you want to see or do, and have 6-9 stations stamped, stop by the Check Out station (at the Registration station) to fill out a quick survey and receive a final prize (while supplies last).
