The "Opportunity Bus," a charter bus provided by the Library, will travel to Columbus, Ohio, to the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) on Saturday, April 27, so that participants will have the unique opportunity to explore both COSI and Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition AT NO CHARGE.

This event is open to those ages 5 and up (please, no exceptions).

All adult patrons (age 18 and up) must have a good-standing physical library card in order to register for this event. Digital-only cards will not be accepted for registration purposes.

Library cards will be checked to see if they are in good standing before registration will be considered complete.

You may only register members of your immediate household (those physically residing at your address) for this event.

EACH member of your immediate household must be registered on a separate form.

Minors (age 5-17) can be registered under a parent/legal guardian's library card as long as that card is in good standing with the library.

Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

If a responsible adult (age 18+) is being designated to accompany a minor child/children in a parent or legal guardian's place, make sure that that designee registers at the same time as the immediate family.

While this event is unique among library programs, it aligns with the library's goal of providing educational opportunities to the community it serves.

"Bossard Library continually strives to provide opportunities that are engaging, educational, and entertaining for community members," Director Debbie Saunders said. "We aptly named this library program the "Opportunity Bus," which seemed very fitting, as this social outing will allow participants to travel from Gallia County to explore the Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition, which covers an interesting, yet tragic event in history, as well as COSI and its many exhibits and educational displays."

"Participants can sit back, enjoy the ride, and embark on a day of learning and exploration," Saunders said.

According to the COSI website, Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition features full-scale room recreations and over 200 authentic artifacts recovered from the wreckage of the world's most famous ocean-liner. This 10,000 square-foot exhibit has been viewed by more than 30 million people worldwide, and is one of the highest attended exhibitions in history.
