Youth Services Programs Trivia Night Ages 13 and over Come out for Trivia Night and compete as an individual or play with your friends to test your knowledge of current events, history, pop culture, and more! Trivia Night is open to teens, adults, and families with children who are age 13 and over. The winning individual or team will receive a nominal prize and bragging rights! Light refreshments will be provided. Adult Programs Evening Storytime Ages 3-6 Evening storytime attendees will enjoy a special event with Jody on August 7, while, on August 21, attendees will enjoy a reading of The View at the Zoo by Kathleen Long Bostrom, illustrated by Guy Francis. Evening storytime is for children, ages 3-6, and their parents or caregivers. It is typically held twice per month at the library. Ages 7-9 The second In-B-Tween meeting in August will feature a reading of The Crayon Man by Natascha Biebow, illustrated by Steven Salerno. The InB-Tweens will create their own crayon art and vote for their favorite crayon color! For more information, contact Rachael at rbarker@bossardlibrary.org. In-B-Tween Club Teen Book Club Ages 13-19 The Teen Book Club will meet in August for movie and bingo day featuring the film Dog Man (PG). The teens are encouraged to read Dog Man by Dav Pilkey prior to the meeting. Copies of the book can be borrowed from the library. The eBook can be downloaded instantly from hoopla Digital. Light refreshments will be provided. The Teen Book Club meets every other month at the library and is for any interested reader, ages 13-19. Ages 7-9 The first In-B-Tween Club meeting in August will feature a reading of A Porcupine Named Fluffy by Helen Lester, illustrated by Lynn Munsinger. During this event, attendees will create their own porcupine craft and will enjoy graham cracker art. In-B-Tween Club Storytime with Special Guest Ages 3-6 Join MedFlight of Ohio helicopter pilot Justin Vrooman for a special storytime event on August 25. Vrooman, who is a U.S. Army veteran, began serving the residents of Ohio in 2015 as a MedFlight pilot, providing medical transportation. Vrooman will read Let’s Go On A Helicopter by Rosalyn Albert, illustrated by Natalia Moore. He will also discuss his work as a helicopter pilot.
